Traditional remote training collars rely on the 27 MHz frequency band for communication between the hand held transmitter and the collar receiver. 915 MHz technology has many advantages over 27 MHz

  • Less Interference. 915 MHz is an ultra high frequency band with little interference. 27 MHz is a crowded band shared with CB radios, remote controlled toys, garage door openers, etc. These other devices can and will interfere with the signal from a 27 MHz transmitter and lead to poorer control of the dog.
  • Longer Battery Life/Lower Battery Cost. 915 MHz devices require significantly less energy than 27 MHz. This allows for the use of smaller, less expensive batteries, significantly longer battery life and eliminates the need for recharging units.
